Description:
Tree that reaches a height of 4 meters. The flower can be yellow, red or pink. It is admired for its color and fragrance, and appears during the dry season, especially in the month of May. It is used to make necklaces and to decorate the images of saints. The pink flower in particular is sometimes dried and ground to prepare a drink known as bupu. There is a similar tree of the same species known as guie' cha'chi gui'xhi that grows in the hills.
