Description:
Herb with very fragrant leaves, which have numerous uses. They are used to treat clogged ears by rolling the leaf into a little ball and holding it up to the ear to suck out any air inside. It can also be boiled for use as an enema or for spiritual purification rituals. It is also used for flower arrangements to take to the cemetery. It is edible, but it is not eaten in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.
