Description:
Abundant tree that reaches a height of 12 meters. It produces a small, red, spherical fruit that is not considered edible. It also produces a brown or cream-colored flower. There are two known types of guiichi xahui, a thorny variety found on Cerro El Merodio, and another variety that is not thorny. The wood is used to make charcoal as well as posts for construction.
