Description:
Abundant tree that reaches a height of 10 meters. It produces a yellowish-green fruit and purple flowers. The wood is used to make posts, pitchforks, and axles for wagons, because it is considered to be a dense material. Some people believe that this tree can be deadly to livestock, hence the Spanish name mata buey (lit. 'kill ox').
