Description:
Tree that reaches a height of 5 meters. The flower is a pale lilac color and the fruit is greenish brown. It is called xtaa biiu' (lit. 'the petate of the fleas' - petate is a straw sleeping mat) because of the tendency for its leaves to attract fleas. When an animal has fleas, it is brought near the tree, or the leaves are brought to it, so that the plant attracts the fleas away from the animal.
