Description:
This name is used to refer to at least two species of the Ebenaceae family: Diospyros aequoris and Diospyros salicifolia. Both shrubs reach a height of 4 meters and produce a fruit known as guiichi lui' or simply chi lui.'Diospyros aequoris produces fruit during the rainy season that is yellow when ripe. The fruit is edible and resembles the nache-fruit.
