Description:
Abundant tree that reaches a height of 5 meters and produces greenish-brown fruit. It has a similar structure to the palo mulato, but with a greater abundance of branches. The wood is used to carve wooden figurines, and when cut, the tree releases a minty aroma. Although the Zapotec name for this tree includes the Spanish word copal, it is not called copal in Spanish.
