Description:
This term is used to refer to at least two species of abundant thorny shrubs and trees. The first is Castela retusa, of the Simaroubaceae family. the flowers may be pink or yellowish-red. The second is Podopterus mexicanus, belonging to the Polygonaceae family, which has greenish-white flowers. the fruit of both resembles the fruit of the biaachi, and is used to feed iguanas.
