Description:
This name is used to refer to at least 3 species of the genus Capparis of the Capparaceae family, abundant trees that reach a height of 5 meters. The flowers may be white or cream with a little orange on the tips, depending on the species. The fruit is green or brown, with orange pulp. The smoke made by the wood of these trees as it burns has a very unpleasant smell, so they are not occupied, and are referred to in Spanish as 'palo mierda' or 'palo de mierda', meaning shit stick.
