Description:
Scarce tree that reaches a height of 10 meters, found in urban areas. The edible fruit is produced in the dry season, while the tree flowers during the rainy season. The leaves are used for baths or are boiled to prepare a tea believed to have medicinal properties to control glycerides and cholesterol. In the past the latex of this tree was used to make chewing gum.
